DESCRIPTION: The Sophie is a twin buckle slip-on sandal crafted with a moulded, anatomical, imported Spanish cork footbed, covered with genuine suede, designed to provide a comfortable, stable walking experience and promote healthy posture. The uppers are made of soft premium-grade Nubuck leather with a microfiber lining to wick sweat away, keeping feet cool and dry. The sole is made of a proudly South African exclusively designed and hard-wearing high-grade 8mm lightweight EVA Handmade in Cape Town, South Africa.
DETAILS: Nubuck is made by lightly buffing the grain of the leather to create a fine nap(almost like velvet). We have our leather tanned with a water resistant additive, to make the leather more stain resistant.

I have two issues that drop my rating right down. If it was not for the quality of the leather, a 1 Star rating would have been given. I ordered the product with enough time, along with 2 other products. When the 2 other products arrived, I sent an email stressing that I needed the Handbag before the 20th December. I was assured the respondent would check with the factory and get back to me. This did not happen. I followed up with another email, with the same result. In the last week that the factory was open for the year, and the week I needed the handbag by, I called to follow up. I was again told that there would be a check with the factory, and feedback provided. I had to call again later in the day to follow up, and was then told that they had bad news for me, and I would not be receiving the product. I then escalated the issue as the product was being purchased for someone outside the country, and needed to travel with someone before the factory opened again. To their credit, the next thing that happened, was that I received a courier notification that my product was on the way. Unfortunately, when the box was open, we found that one of the straps of the handbag had been attached twisted, so the product was imperfect. Very much unacceptable for what is described as a Premium product. I am now waiting until the factory opens again to see what the response is.
